Meet Cute

Picture this…you’re a successful business exec who has no time for a relationship, when all of sudden you get trapped in an elevator with your extraordinarily attractive neighbor (of course played by Matthew McConaughey). It’s love at first sight!

So, what even is a meet cute? A “meet-cute” is the point in the movie or TV show where two characters first meet. This meeting ends up being the point in which they start to fall in love. We have this similar feeling of love towards our new Meet Cute Oaked Chardonnay!

This wine is all about celebrating the serendipitous. Sometimes normal everyday life seems to drag on, add in this vino to spice it up! Especially since you never know when romance or adventure will strike!

What It Tastes Like

The oak aging gives this Chardonnay a slightly creamy taste. The flavor notes of tropical fruits like, pineapple, mango, and coconut go nicely with the slight creaminess.

Pair this wine with crab cakes, pork tenderloins, or starchy vegetables like corn, pumpkin, and squash!

Chalone AVA

Meet Cute comes from the California American Viticultural Area (AVA) Chalone, which is located in the central coast of California.

The Chalone AVA is a sub-region of the larger Monterey wine region. The sub-region is known for making great Chardonnays and Merlots and is located in the Gabilan Mountains just east of the city of Soledad.

In Vino Finito

The Meet Cute Oaked Chardonnay is all about being spontaneous so stop hesitating and just go for it!

Bright Cellars

Our staff is full of passionate wine lovers. With our amazing sommeliers at the helm, we’ve been schooled on all things wine. We came together to write this article, in hopes of spreading a little wine-ducation with you.

  1. This wine is A-mazing. I can barely detect the oak, I’m assuming due to the heavy tropical undertones. It actually reminds me of a Sauvignon Blanc.

Definitely recommend for anyone who’s afraid of oaky Chards (like me!:).

  2. I was quite scared of this wine. In a bordeaux bottle for chardonnay? And non vint? It smelled of sulfur and dirt. It had no taste of fruit at all. and no wood just a vapid taste of alcohol and spoiled vegetables. Unpleasant is not a strong enough word to explain this horrid product. I ended up dumping it in fresh orange juice but the awful falvos kept creeping trough. One of the worst wines I have had to endure in recent years.I would rather drink Gallo’s Thunderbird.
