It is officially the spooky season and we can’t wait to watch all things scary! Freeform’s 31 Days of Halloween is the perfect way to see all the classic and new Halloween movies. Every year the Freeform Channel airs 31 days of classic Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus, Beetlejuice, and Halloweentown. And because we love wine and nostalgic movies, we took the liberty of pairing a wine for EVERY day of Freeform's marathon. 31 Halloween movies, 31 wines. Let's do this. Halloween movie and wine pairings are great for many reasons! Not only do you have a great glass of wine but it may also help calm your nerves at the super scary parts. October 1st: Hocus Pocus 9p/8c
Who doesn’t love this classic Halloween movie! When Max Denison, a Halloween-hating teenager, and his sister Dani move to Salem, Massachusetts Max doesn’t believe all the superstitious stories floating around town. But when he, Dani, and their new friend Allison mistakenly release a group of witches they join up with a magical cat to steal the witches' spell book before they steal Dani and become immortal.For this Halloween movie and wine pairings try a glass of Chêne Crémeux Chardonnay. This rich, buttery wine will pair perfectly with this light-hearted scary movie.
October 2nd: Beetlejuice 8:55p/7:55c
When Barbara and Adam Maitland tragically die in a car crash they are unable to leave the human world and decide to haunt their house, because why not? When a couple and their young daughter move into the house, the Maitlands try to scare them out, but nothing seems to work. That is when Beetlejuice shows up – a rather mischievous spirit that puts all of them at risk.
The best wine pairing for this movie would be a classic Obscura Cabernet Sauvignon. The flavor notes of raspberry, blackberry, and baking spices go perfectly with this spooky and adventurous tale.
October 3: The Addams Family 7:20p/6:20cT & 9:25p/8:25c - Addams Family Values
The first and second movies in the Addams Family story are being brought to your TV screen on 10/3. The film is all about the bizarre and macabre family as they reconnect with who they think is their long-lost relative. But is it? What is this man really after? Pair this bizarre movie with a glass of Watchkeeper Tempranillo. With flavor notes of cherry, raspberry, vanilla, and baking spices this obscure wine from California has similar vibes of the unknown.
October 4th: 11:30p/10:30c Sleepy Hollow (1999)
This horror film is set in 1799 and is loosely based on the “Legend of Sleepy Hollow”. There have been a series of decapitations throughout the town and the locals think the culprit is none other than an undead headless ghost from the American Revolutionary War who rides a black steed. What is he looking for? His head of course...even though he doesn’t have eyes...because he doesn’t have a head!
For this Halloween movie and wine pairings try a glass of Worst Evils Zinfandel. The flavor of cherry, smoke, strawberry, and vanilla will hopefully keep your head on.
October 5th: 4p/3c - Ghostbusters (1984)
After losing their jobs at a university, three scientists made the choice to connect with the supernatural by becoming Ghost hunters. While in their quest for the supernatural, they open a portal leaving all of New York city in danger of the evil lurking.
Dark Turn Petite Syrah is the best pairing for this movie night. The flavor notes of plum, blackberry, and black pepper make the spooky comedy more complex and interesting.
October 6th: 12a/11c - Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
Victor and Victoria have an arranged marriage, although both like each other and are okay with it. While working on his lines for the wedding, a tree branch takes Victor to the underworld of Emily, a woman who was murdered after eloping with her true lover. But now she wants to marry Victor. He must figure out a way back before it is too late, and Victoria marries someone else.
The best vino for this pairing would be Latin Root Catarratto. This acidic white wine has flavor notes of peaches, pear, and lemon. It pairs so well with this movie because of its mysterious aura.
October 7th: 6p-11p / 5-10c - The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horro-thon
This comedic relief of fun and lighthearted jokes that only the Simpsons have. Take an adventure with this wacky family as they navigate the treehouse of Horror.

October 8th: 12a/11c - Warm Bodies
A horrible plague has hit the world. Doctors struggle to control it, but ultimately many of the dead rise as zombies. They're everywhere, but one named R is different from the rest. He saves a human girl from getting attacked by other zombies. There is definitely something different about him. As their relationship begins to grow, he becomes more and more human. Will they be able to figure out a way to save all of humanity? Pair this suspenseful adventure with a glass of Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc. This dry white wine is perfect for the suspenseful yet slightly romantic story between a zombie and a human.
October 9th: 2:20p/1:20c - Goosebumps (2015)
Zach Cooper is upset about having to leave his big city life and move to a small town. But all of that is forgotten when he sees his pretty neighbor Hannah. Zach is intrigued when he finds out Hannah’s father, R.L Stine, is the author of the famous Goosebumps books. When Zack accidentally releases the horrors in the book, Zach, Hannah, and Stine must stop the monsters and return them to the book before it is too late.
Pair this understated movie with a glass of Jumble Sale Dry White. This white wine has flavor notes of lime, tangerine, honeysuckle, and slate.
October 10th: 5:40p/4:40c - Hotel Transylvania
Sometimes even the monsters take a break. That's why they go to Count Dracula's Hotel Transylvania: an upscale hotel where monsters can get away and relax without humans. For Count Dracula’s 118th birthday he invites all the monsters to his hotel for a celebration, but the party is crashed by none other than a human who has fallen in love with a monster. After watching the first Hotel Transylvania, stick around for the 2nd and 3rd!
For this triple feature pour yourself a glass of Sunshower Riesling. The semi-sweet wine has flavor notes of tangerine, pear, and lychee that will pair nicely with this kid-friendly movie adventure!
October 11th: 9:50p/8:50c - Twitches
When twin sisters are reunited on the 21st birthday, they soon find themselves in a different world where they need to save the kingdom from the Darkness using their new-found magic powers! These twin witches (or "twitches") fight the darkness with all they have, but will it be enough?
Try pairing this light-hearted Disney classic with a glass of Hazelaire Pinot Noir. This light-bodied red wine is perfect for first time red drinkers and features flavor notes of cherry cola, raspberry and blackberry.
October 12th: 5p/4c - Shrek
We all know this movie! But if you don’t, you need to watch it right now! A comedic love story between a princess who turns into a green beast at night and a smelly loner ogre who has a donkey side kick is sure to keep you laughing! When Shrek wants to make sure his swamp is left alone, he visits Lord Farquad, a ruthless, yet very small Lord. Farquad says he must save a beautiful princess from a tower that is guarded by a fire breathing dragon. This sets Shrek and his unwanted Donkey sidekick on an adventure that will change everything!

October 13th: 12a/11c - Casper (1995)
A kind young ghost name Casper haunts a mansion in Maine. When James Harvey moves in with his teenage daughter Kat to communicate with the ghosts, Casper quickly takes an interest in Kat. Although he is transparent, that is not the only complication in their relationship. Caster’s out-of-control uncles cause a lot of issues. Pair this lighthearted ghost movie with a glass of Dreamlet Pinot Grigio. This white wine has flavor notes of lemon, lime, and fresh apples. And this wine's light-body is similar to the transparent Casper.
October 14th: 12a/11c - Boxtrolls
Eggs was an orphan from birth, and was raised by Boxtrolls. This community of quirky and mischievous creatures live under the city of Cheesebridge. When the evil Archibald Snatcher creates a plan to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs comes out from underground and meets the feisty Winnifred. Together they create a plan to stop Archibald and save the Boxtroll community.October 15th: 8:30p/7:30c - The Craft
When a troubled young girl named Sarah moves to an LA high school, she soon finds her group of friends – three other troubled girls who are witches. Soon their powers get the best of them and they have some serious consequences.
Pair this young teenage angst movie would be a glass of Gladiolus Gewürztraminer. This dry white wine has flavor notes of lychee, honeydew melon, grapefruit, and rose petals.
October 16th: 6:30p/5:30c - Disney and Pixar's Monsters, Inc.
Can’t go wrong with this classic Disney and Pixar movie. Monsters Incorporated is the largest scare factory in the monster world and James P. Sullivan (or Sully) is the top scarer. This blue fluffy monster looks like a teddy bear until he roars. His unlikely sidekick Mike Wazowski wants to be a scarer so bad, but he is small and not so scary. These two are put to the test when Boo, a human girl, gets into the Monster’s World.

October 17th: 9:55p/8:55c - Halloweentown
Marnie is fascinated by her Grandmother Angie and when she sees her use magic on her visit she is even more interested. She follows her grandmother back to her home, Halloweentown, and is soon on the adventure of a lifetime!

He starts to plot how he will kidnap Santa Claus and take over his role, but he soon learns this is not the path he should be on. October 24th: 11p/10c - Ghostbusters (2016)
This 21st century recreation of the original Ghostbusters takes you on a journey with Abby Yates and physicist Erin Gilbert as they try to prove that ghosts exist. They team up with friends along the way as they prepare for the epic battle. Pair this 21st century Ghostbusters with a glass of Hazelaire Grenache. This vino is a great alternative to Pinot Noir and has flavor notes of baking spices, raspberry jam, and strawberry jam.

October 26th: 7p/6c - Hotel Transylvania 2
After watching the first Hotel Transylvania you may have already watched the second, but there's nothing wrong with rewatching! However, the siblings, Wednesday and Pugsley, are less than thrilled about this new arrival, and are trying their best to get rid of the baby. October 31st: 1p/12c - Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge
