Bright Cellars Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc
We’re excited to announce our newest wine, the Bright Cellars’ Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc! This zippy and acidic Sauvignon Blanc has flavor notes of green apple, lemongrass, grapefruit, and lemon.

In 2013 two large lion statues appeared in a remote stretch of the Mojave Desert near Route 66. No one knows how they got there. Ever since the majestic guardian lions mysteriously appeared, people have wondered how they got there. Whoever placed them there has never stepped forward to claim responsibility. The harsh desert environment and enigmatic lions serve as the inspiration for the Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc.
Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc
The Watchkeeper Sauvignon Blanc was grown in the Central Coast of California. The flavors of sour green apple, herbal lemongrass, grapefruit, and citrus are brought together in this medium to light-bodied wine. The green herb flavors in this wine are complimented by the zippy acidity. This Sauv Blanc is great for easy drinking and has a ABV of 13.8%, which makes this vino a great addition to any dinner since it pairs with a variety of different foods. Sauvignon Blanc is known for its herb-y flavors! So, foods that are herb-driven are a great pairing for this vino! Rosemary chicken, tofu, and herbaceous fish dishes are all great pairings for Sauvignon Blanc.
Central Coast, California
California’s central coast stretches from San Francisco to Santa Barbara. This region has 40 different AVAs over 300 miles of coastline. Grapes planted in this area are some of the oldest in California, dating back to the 1700s. Franciscan monks planted the vines as they traveled north along the Camino Real or the “royal road”. This road is better known as Highway 101 now! The Central Coast includes AVAs that are along the coast as well as some that are more inland. Since this region spans for 300 miles there are some differences in climate.
