June 23rd is Take Your Dog to Work Day!

As if wine and work wasn’t already the greatest combination imaginable, at Bright Cellars HQ, every day is Take Your Dog to Work Day. This got us thinking...If our dogs were bottles of wine, what would they be? Well, a few glasses of vino and several puppy kisses later, we’ve got the answers:

Bright Cellars Owner: Christian
Dog: Ghost
Wine: Pana Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Like a bold and tannic Cabernet Sauvignon, Ghost can take a few minutes to open up. But, with a little breathing room and patience, he’ll begin to soften. You’ll learn to love and appreciate his complex and charismatic character.

Bright Cellars Owner: Hillary
Dog: Vito
Wine: Burrasca Syrah 2015
Vito is a smooth little man with a robust personality. Just as Italian Syrah is equal parts spicy and fruity, this pup is sweet like plums and piccante as a pepper. When you first taste Syrah, you’ll be greeted with a bold punch of flavor. When you first meet Vito, you’ll be greeted with a bold kiss on the mouth.

Bright Cellars Owner: Katie
Dog: Bradley
Wine: Porta D’oro Pinot Grigio 2015
Pinot Grigio is often considered a white wine wild card. Depending on the region in which it’s grown, the wine can range from semi-sweet to bone-dry. Bradley is the sweetest and sassiest girl in the bunch! We never know which Bradley we’re going to get, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Bright Cellars Owner: Courtney
Dog: Flora
Wine: Mojave Rain Zinfandel 2015
Flora is a BIG girl with a bold personality! Like a jammy zin, she can be quite strong (Can you blame her? she’s not even one and she’s 75 pounds!), but we love her fruity personality and endless amounts of character.

Bright Cellars Owner: Kassie
Dog: Kona
Wine: Folk & Fable Red Blend 2015
In winemaking, blending is used to enhance the texture, color, and structure of a wine. Just as a California Red Blend highlights the tastiest qualities of each of its grapes, this darling office mutt, Kona, brings out only the best of all of her many breeds.

Bright Cellars Owner: Brooke
Dog: Jackson
Wine: White Willow Verdelho 2016
Jackson is a zippy little spitfire with the most endearing personality. Verdelho is light, zesty, and bright, just like this precious pooch. We’re equally intrigued by its nectarine and kiwi notes as we are Jackson’s adorable snaggletooth.

Bright Cellars Owner: Dave
Dog: Biscuit
Wine: Forty Winks White Blend
Much like a sweet Gewürztraminer - Chenin-Blanc blend, Biscuit is half amazing, half terrific. Her playful and adventurous spirit is balanced by her inquisitively curious intellect. And check out those beautiful golden hues!

Bright Cellars Owner: Sam
Dog: Sasja
Wine: La Cueca Merlot 2016
Sasja is a gentle, well-rounded, girl that is sweet like blackberries and smooth like cocoa. Just like a perfectly balanced Merlot, she is easily enjoyed by all. (She also brushes her teeth every night before bed...which has nothing to do with wine, but is very, very cute.)

Bright Cellars Owner: Forest
Dog: Bru
Wine: Obscura Petite Sirah 2016
This guy’s name may hint at the Milwaukee brew scene, but his demeanor is straight up Petite Sirah! Just like Bru’s bold bark, Petite Sirah hits you with ripe and jammy fruits at first sip. As it opens up, you’ll notice softer notes of rose petals and cocoa, much like his sweet-tempered snuggles.

Bright Cellars Owner: Tiff
Dog: Nelly
Wine: White Willow Shiraz-Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
These sisters go together like Cabernet and Shiraz! Nelly’s lovable, snuggly demeanor is the perfect mix for Rossi’s sassy and striking smarts. While they are individually unique and adored, together, they make an ideal combo.
