Merlot 2011
Contrada di San Felice is a blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Also known as a "Super Tuscan," this blend has bright red fruits like cherry and raspberry and touches of earth and leather. The Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend gives the wine body, the Sangiovese provides acidity and the Merlot gives this wine a nice, round mouthfeel. Pair this wine with an antipasto platter with hard cheeses or delicious tomato-based Italian dishes like pasta or pizza!
