Dolcetto 2009
This Dolcetto d'Alba comes from the Piedmont region in northwest Italy. Although the name Dolcetto means "little sweet one," this wine is far from "little" or "sweet." This wine has dark fruit flavors of raspberry, blackberry and black cherry with hints of oak spices and earth. The wine has a fuller body with lower acidity which makes it easy-drinking and wonderful on its own or with food. Pair it with pizza, pasta dishes, roasted meats or risotto. Enjoy with Italian cheeses like Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino.
