These wines have the perfect amount of sweetness that will pair nicely with the pumpkin flavor without overdoing it. What you’ll need: Pumpkin pie, graham crackers, chocolate bar, marshmallows, and caramel. What to do: Purchase or make a pumpkin pie. Place a couple of pieces of chocolate onto one half of the graham cracker, and drizzle caramel on top. Roast up the marshmallow and place it on top of the chocolate. Favorite Cookie S'mores and Wine Pairing

#3 Your Favorite Kind of Cookie S’mores

Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside – the perfect cookie! For whatever kind of cookie you enjoy, we've got you covered with these cookie s'mores and wine pairings:
  • Chocolate Chip – For those red wine lovers out there try pairing chocolate chip cookies with a Merlot. The tannins in the Merlot will go nicely with the chocolate in the cookie!
  • Sugar Cookie – A semi-sweet Champagne goes great with sugar cookies because it compliments the sweetness of the cookie without overtaking it.
  • Peanut Butter – A Côtes du Rhône wine is the best pairing for peanut butter anything! It goes nicely with the flavor of the peanut butter without overpowering that amazing taste.
  • Snickerdoodles – A fruity Riesling is a match made in heaven with snickerdoodle cookies. The cinnamon in the cookies complements the fruit in the Riesling.
  • Brownies – To us brownies are just chocolatey and decadent cookies in square/rectangular form. The best wine pairing for this s’more variation would be Banyuls. This is a French dessert wine that pairs well with warm melty brownies.

What you’ll need: Cookies of your choosing (homemade or store bought), marshmallows, and chocolate bar. What to do: Everything you would normally do with a s’more but replace the graham crackers with cookies!

Lemon Meringue S'mores and Wine Pairing

#4 Lemon Meringue Pie S’mores

Give your dessert a little zing with this fun twist on a traditional s’more. Pairing lemon and wine can be very difficult! You’ll have to find a wine that is both sweet and zesty. Try a Muscat – which usually has flavor notes of lemon. The two lemon flavors won’t be overpowering and will go together nicely. What you’ll need: graham cracker, lemon curd, and marshmallows. What to do: Same thing as a normal s’more but replace the chocolate with the lemon curd!

Cheesecake S'mores and Wine Pairing

#5 Cheesecake S’mores

Who doesn’t love a (large) slice of cheesecake? How you make this s’more will depend on the pairing you’ll use. For a plain cheesecake s’more with no fruit filling try a sweet Riesling. For a fruit-filled cheesecake s’more you could also go with a sweet Riesling or try a Sauternes. What you’ll need: Graham crackers, whipped cream cheese, strawberry, raspberry or blueberry jam, and marshmallows. What do to: Place half of the graham cracker down, add the whipped cream cheese, and your desired fruit flavoring. After roasting your mallow, add that on top and then add the other half of the graham cracker!

Salted Caramel and Chocolate S'mores and Wine

#6 Salted Caramel and Chocolate S’mores

A sweet and savory s’more that is sure to get your taste buds excited! Pair this s’more with a sweeter style of Chenin Blanc, like Vouvray. The sweetness of the wine will cut through the salty and compliment the sweet flavors coming from the salted caramel. What you’ll need: Graham crackers, chocolate, dulce de leche/caramel topping, coarse sea salt, and marshmallow. What to do: Place a half of the graham cracker down, add the chocolate, dulce de leche/caramel topping. Sprinkle sea salt on top. After roasting the marshmallow to your liking place on top and then add the other half of the graham cracker.

Chocolate strawberry s'mores and wine pairing

#7 Chocolate Covered Strawberry S’mores

There is fruit in it...so that makes it healthy right? A chocolate covered strawberry s’more pairs perfectly with a Rosé Champagne. The subtle sweetness of the Rosé goes great with the richness of the chocolate. What you’ll need: Chocolate graham cracker, chocolate, sliced strawberries, and marshmallows. What to do: Make the s’more how you normally would but add in the sliced strawberries onto the chocolate bar.

Caramel delites s'mores and wine pairing

#8 Caramel Delites S’mores

You'll be an “adult” Girl Scout with this s’mores variation! Samoas cookies go best with nice cool glass of Sauternes. With flavors of butterscotch, caramel, and coconut in the wine it will pair nicely with the coconut in the s’mores. Want more of an excuse to get Girl Scout cookies? Check out this pairing guide for wine and Girl Scout Cookies. What you’ll need: Graham cracker, chocolate, dulce de leche or caramel, and toasted coconut marshmallows. What to do: Add everything to the top of ½ of the graham cracker. Then add the other half and enjoy!

Elvis s'mores and wine pairing

#9 Elvis S’more

A little less conversation and a little bit more wine please. We’re honoring The King with this s’more variation! An oaked Chardonnay is the perfect wine to pair with an Elvis s’more. This is because the oaked flavor of the wine will help cut through the banana and peanut butter flavors. What you’ll need: Graham cracker, peanut butter, banana, bacon, and marshmallow. What to do: Put the peanut butter, banana, and bacon onto one half of the graham cracker. Then roast your marshmallow, add it in, then place the other half of the graham cracker on top.

Mexican chocolate s'mores and wine pairing

#10 Mexican Chocolate S’more

This one is for those who love a little spice in their lives! A sweet Riesling or Moscato will pair nicely with Mexican chocolate. This is because the sweetness of the wines will balance the little kick of spice. What you’ll need: Graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate bar, chili powder, and cinnamon. What to do: Make the s’more like you would normally do. Then before adding the top graham cracker sprinkle on some cinnamon and chili powder.

Rice krispies s'mores and wine pairing

#11 Rice Krispies S’more

Ditch the graham crackers and use rice krispies instead! A late harvest Riesling is the perfect match for rice krispies. Since the grapes are harvested later they will end up being sweeter and that sweetness will pair nicely with the rice krispies. What you’ll need: Rice krispies, chocolate bar, and marshmallows. What to do: Instead of using graham crackers use rice krispies!
